Yvonne has 20 years’ experience working in key government and Aboriginal organisations. She has worked in senior positions in Aboriginal policy development, health, human services, sexual assault, housing, disability and Aboriginal heritage.

Yvonne has extensive experience in providing specialist consultant services and advice to government health and human services agencies. She is also the Chairperson of the Metropolitan Aboriginal Land Council.

Senior Aboriginal policy advisor: Yvonne’s track record

Yvonne’s most recent experience has been in the health sector working as the Aboriginal Program Coordinator for the Cancer Institute NSW and with Medicare Local. Prior to this, Yvonne held a range of senior positions including CEO of Murawina Long Day Care, Mt Druitt; Senior Project Officer, NSW Aboriginal Housing Office; Manager Aboriginal Policy and Strategy, NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care; Principal Policy Officer, Human Services; Aboriginal Program Coordinator, Cancer Institute NSW and Senior Project Officer, ATSIC.

Yvonne has high level skills in research, consultation, project management, facilitation, policy development and analysis, and cross agency collaboration. She has also represented the government as a spokesperson on Aboriginal issues in interagency forums.
