Research Consultant
Mary joined CIRCA in 2010, after working as a government solicitor both in the public service and in private practice for several years, and brings an applied understanding of public sector policy and legal frameworks to CIRCA.
Since joining CIRCA, Mary has worked in both research and evaluation settings. Mary has evaluated a number of government programs including the Aboriginal Care Circle pilot for Community Services, and the CALD Innovative Accommodation Support Initiative for Ageing, Disability and Home Care. Mary has also worked on research on the civic and social participation of Muslim men in Australian society for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, as well as numerous communications research projects targeting both Indigenous and CALD communities.
Prior to joining CIRCA Mary also held a range of research and policy positions including research assistant with UTS Community Law and Legal Research Centre, research assistant and policy and legislation adviser to two members of the NSW Legislative Council, and a research internship with the Social Justice Project at the University of NSW. This experience demonstrates Mary's rigorous approach to research and high quality research outcomes that are well regarded at CIRCA and among our clients.
