National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER)
Research examining success factors operating within several identified employment organizations whose activities have lead to sustainable employment outcomes for their Indigenous clients. Findings were drawn together in a “Blueprint of success” for use by those working in the field of Indigenous training and employment

Queensland Health
In 2007 CIRCA conducted developmental research in eleven Indigenous communities across Queensland. The aim of the research was to evaluate the relevance of the ‘Go for 2&5’ fruit and vegetable campaign for Indigenous audiences and make recommendations for an upcoming Indigenous specific campaign.

NSW Attorney General’s Department
CIRCA conducted a major evaluation of Circle Sentencing for the Attorney General’s Department in eight Aboriginal communities in NSW. This research included detailed qualitative analysis in nine communities where the Circle is operating, as well as a literature review and data analysis.

Job Futures
CIRCA conducted research for Job Futures exploring the impact of changing employment services in remote areas. CIRCA partnered with Tangentyere Council Inc. to conduct the research, which included a combination of group discussion and depth interviews.

Northern Territory Department of Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources; Northern Territory Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment, Northern Territory Department of the Chief Minister, the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, and Indigenous Business Australia
CIRCA conducted research on economic aspirations and home ownership, and through this developed a market research model for conducting research in remote Aboriginal communities. This research included consultations in six communities (Borroloola, Hermannsburg, Kalkarindji, Nguiu, Galiwinku and Ali Curung). The approach included identifying local Aboriginal research partners, providing training in research to these partners, conducting up to five group discussions (or larger group meetings) in each community, and developing recommendations for the appropriate conduct of research in remote communities, including identifying future opportunities for developing research capacity within the NT.

Department of Health and Ageing
CIRCA conducted evaluations of two programs targeting petrol sniffing in Central Australia and the Top End of the Northern Territory. The evaluation included consultations with a range of stakeholders and service providers, as well as community members, and involved site visits to several remote communities.
